This week’s photo challenge “to think ahead and show your work in a representative photo…something that you want to achieve — it could be setting a new goal, making plans…and imagine your new horizon.”
This picture best represents my desire keep pedaling my recumbent trike up a challenging hill on a bike path to a nearby state park, moving past that horizon and on to some additional “bike friendly” locations in the New Year.
When cycling up a hill, it’s always a treat to see what’s over the horizon.
Finally, a fun encounter with a galloping “woolly bear” worm while cycling around Green Valley State Park. I can’t imagine his perspective of me as I appeared on his horizon…but I brake at woolly bear worm crossings.

Yeah, I’m not as likely to stop for them when I’m cruising down the highway at 60 mph, but I’m glad to oblige them the right of way at 10-15 mph on my trike. Thanks for the comment!

My surgeon told me to look into recumbent bikes after my hip replacements earlier this year – it looks like so much fun! Beautiful pictures.

Love all of them! The first is very artistic, the second nostalgic, and the video whimsical! While taking a 5-mile walk in today’s gorgeous winter weather, I was surprised to come across a woolly bear on the dirt road.

Thanks, Rene. I appreciate your perspective on each of the contributions! I was impressed that I was able to get the video on my iPhone and love seeing all the little legs moving sequentially across the concrete. I’ve not seen any since fall so that WOULD be a surprise.
