This week’s challenge highlights our family’s annual pilgrimage to Florida, having just returned from that restorative retreat. Our time at the beach always increases our happy quotient, especially as we watch the grand kids enjoy the sand and surf.
In response to The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge: “Happy Place.”
Great photos, I really like the second one.

Thank you, Amy. I had about a 10 minute photo shoot with that sandpiper who was perched on a six foot log that had washed up on the beach. I was careful not to get too close and he remained cooperative. Usually they are very skittish.

Great shots of our happy place, and so glad y’all made it this year! Thanks for the 2015 addition to Gulf Trace complilation through the years of the Spindler footprint on those soothing sands!

It was certainly a bittersweet time without Mom and other family members, but we had a much needed time of refreshment.
