It’s my birthday! It was a low-key celebration and probably would have been sans candle had not the bakery owner overheard a conversation with a friend who wished me a happy birthday. The yellow candle she added, the celebratory flame and the colorful sprinkles made these ordinary but delicious chocolate cupcakes a bit more “vivid.”
